Google To Rank Websites Based on “Facts?”
Think about it, Google, the largest search engine in the world says it is going to start returning search results based on the factual information on the website. This site says:
“THE internet is stuffed with garbage. Anti-vaccination websites make the front page of Google, and fact-free “news” stories spread like wildfire. Google has devised a fix – rank websites according to their truthfulness.”
Already, red flags are waving everywhere!
They say Google wants to “fix” the internet. After all, if Google doesn’t only return liberal results, it must be broken. There are global warming deniers, pro-life people, and all those other nut jobs that disagree with Democrats & Obama. They need to be blocked!
And really, who’s going to decide the “truthfulness” of a website? The truth police?
If you look at the information on the website I quoted from, you can see they are pro-evolution, anti-gun and are obviously a hard-core left-wing group of people. So, their information would be linked first because they are telling the liberal truth, and anyone who disagrees with them would be last.
Up to now, everyone uses Google because they have a great search engine. If they decide to rank information based on their “truth” I’m going to start using other search engines.
