U.S. Supreme Court Upholds Partial Birth Abortion Ban

The U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Partial Birth Abortion ban today in a 5-4 ruling.
President Bush’s two new appointees, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito, sided with the majority in this case as conservatives hoped that they would. Justices Clarence Thomas and Antonin Scalia also were in the majority as expected.
The question long has been; “What would Justice Kennedy do?” Kennedy sided with the conservatives this time, and handed them the victory.
The bitter anti-life Jusitce Ruth Bader Ginsburg wrote in her dissenting opinion: “...the ruling refuses to take seriously previous Supreme Court decisions on abortion.” She however, could find no constitutional basis for her dissent.
Justice Ginsburg was joined by the other known Pro-Aborts on the court, Justices Stephen Breyer, David Souter and of course, Justice John Paul Stevens.
